Jury commissioners shall receive $50.00 for each day's service in revising the jury lists, to be paid from the county treasury. The clerk of the board shall receive $50.00 to be paid in like manner. The chief judge of the superior court of the judicial circuit in which the county lies shall have the right, subject to the approval of the governing authority of the county, to increase the compensation provided by this Code section for the commissioners and clerk in an amount not exceeding $100.00 for each day's service, to be paid in like manner.
