Title 15, Chapter 9, Section 33
( 15-9-33)
(a) The several judges of the probate courts are authorized to
administer oaths in all cases where the authority is not specially
delegated to some other officer and to receive the same fees
therefor as are allowed magistrates. (b) The judge of the probate court in any county of this state
having a population of 550,000 or more according to the United
States decennial census of 1970 or any future such census shall have
the power and authority to administer the oath of office to any
officer or official of such county or any municipality located
within such county and to each judicial officer of the state whose
jurisdiction extends to such county. |
