Title 16, Chapter 9, Section 121
( 16-9-121)
A person commits the offense of financial identity fraud when
without the authorization or permission of another person and with
the intent unlawfully to appropriate financial resources of that
other person to his or her own use or to the use of a third party he
or she: (1) Obtains or records identifying information which would assist
in accessing the financial resources of the other person; or (2) Accesses or attempts to access the financial resources of the
other person through the use of identifying information. Such
identifying information shall include but not be limited to: (A) Social security numbers; (B) Driver's license numbers; (C) Checking account numbers; (D) Savings account numbers; (E) Credit card numbers; (F) Debit card numbers; (G) Personal identification numbers; (H) Electronic identification numbers; (I) Digital signatures; or (J) Any other numbers or information which can be used to access
a person's financial resources. |
