(a) As used in this Code section, the term "identification document" means any document issued by a government agency containing a description of the person or such person's photograph, or both, and giving such person's date of birth, and includes without being limited to a passport, military identification card, driver's license, or an identification card authorized under Code Sections 40-5-100 through 40-5-104. (b)(1) It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly
manufacture, sell, or distribute a false identification document. (2) Any person who violates paragraph (1) of this subsection on
the first offense shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person
who violates paragraph (1) of this subsection for the second or
any subsequent offense shall be guilty of a felony and shall be
punished by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 or by imprisonment
for not more than three years, or both. |
