( 36-7-8)
It shall be the duty of the county surveyor: (1) To observe punctually and carry into effect all such orders as
he may receive from any officer who may lawfully command him; (2) To partition lands, to make resurveys, to give plats of all
surveys, and to administer all oaths required by law in such
cases; (3) To survey county lines and district lines and to make other
surveys in which his county may be interested whenever required to
do so by the county governing authority; (4) To execute all surveys required by the rule or order of any
court of competent jurisdiction; and (5) To keep a well-bound book in which shall be entered plats of
all surveys made by him with a minute of the names of the
chainbearers, when executed, by whose order, and to whom the plat
was delivered, if any. Such book shall belong to his office and
shall be turned over to his successor; when full, it shall be
deposited in the office of the county governing authority. |
