Title 37, Chapter 4, Section 103 (37-4-103)

A client's rights to his personal effects shall be respected. The superintendent may take temporary custody of such effects when required for medical reasons. The facility shall make reasonable efforts to assure the safety of the client's belongings, but no employee or staff member shall be responsible for loss of or damage to such property where reasonable safety precautions have been taken.
