(a) Immediately after the appointment and qualification of the members, the board shall meet and organize and shall elect a president and vice-president. Each member of the board shall be reimbursed as provided for in subsection (f) of Code Section 43-1-2.

(b) The board shall hold two regular meetings each year, one in May or June and one in October. Called meetings may be held at the discretion of the president. The board shall adopt a seal, which must be affixed to all licenses issued by the board.

(c) The board shall from time to time adopt such rules and regulations as it may deem necessary for the performance of its duties and shall examine and pass upon the qualifications of applicants for the practice of medicine.
