The board shall examine applicants upon the subjects required for the practice of podiatric medicine at least twice each year and shall use any method or procedure which the board deems necessary to test the applicant's qualifications to practice podiatric medicine. Any standardized examination which the board shall approve may be administered to all applicants in lieu of or in conjunction with any other examination which the board shall administer.
