Any person who practices speech-language pathology or audiology or who offers or pretends to practice or holds himself out as eligible to practice speech-language pathology or audiology and who is not legally registered or licensed under this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day or fraction of a day that such person practices in violation of this chapter shall constitute a separate offense.
