Title 44, Chapter 2, Section 236
( 44-2-236)
Upon request of any person and the payment of lawful fees, the clerk
shall issue a certified copy of any certificate of title or of any
entry thereon in like manner as he may issue certified copies of any
other public record in his office; but, whenever he does so, he
shall plainly mark in large legible letters across the face of the
certificate the word "copy." If a certified copy of a canceled
certificate or entry is made, in addition to transcribing a copy of
the entry of cancellation, the clerk shall also plainly mark the
words "canceled certificate" or "canceled entry," as the case may
be, across the face of the copy. |
