Any person who is a director or other officer or agent of a railroad company which owns a railroad situated in this state and who does any act with the intent and purpose of wrecking the company, although by the act the company is not thus wrecked, shall be guilty of the felony of attempting to wreck such company and shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one year nor more than ten years.
