There is created the office of secretary-treasurer of the Georgia Firefighters' Pension Fund. The secretary-treasurer shall be named by the board and shall serve at the pleasure of the board. His compensation shall be fixed by the board. He shall be bonded by a corporate surety in such amount as the board shall determine to be sufficient. The cost of such bond shall be paid by the fund.
