( 49-5-242)
(a) The Governor shall annually appoint a chairman and vice chairman
of the council to serve for one-year terms. (b) The council shall hold regular meetings at least once every
calendar quarter and may not hold more than six regular or special
meetings during any calendar year. A special meeting may be called
by the chairman or a majority of the members of the council. The
council shall meet at such times and at such designated places in
the state as it may determine. (c) Nine members of the council shall constitute a quorum. (d) The appointive members of the council shall receive the same
allowances authorized for legislative members of interim legislative
committees for each day of actual attendance at official meetings of
the council. Ex officio members of the council shall receive no
additional compensation for their services on the council but shall
be reimbursed for expenses incurred by them in their performance of
their duties as members of the council in the same manner as state
employees are reimbursed for expenses. |
