Title 50, Chapter 4, Section 4
( 50-4-4)
A department head or the Governor may create advisory councils. Any
other official or agency of the executive branch of state government
may also create advisory councils but only if federal laws or
regulations require that the official or agency create the advisory
council as a condition to the receipt of federal funds. Advisory
councils may be created only for the purpose of acting in an
advisory capacity. Unless otherwise provided by law, any such
advisory council shall have a definite termination date in the
instrument creating it, such date not to extend beyond the term of
the Governor holding office at the time of the creation of the
council. |
