Legal Terminology

1. (10-1-720) Title 10, Chapter 1, Section 720

(1) "Adult" means any person who is not a minor.

2. (15-11-2) Title 15, Chapter 11, Section 2

(1) "Adult" means any individual who is not a child under the definition in paragraph (2) of this Code section.

3. (31-39-2) Title 31, Chapter 39, Section 2

(1) "Adult" means any person who is 18 years of age or older, is the parent of a child, or has married.

4. (44-5-111) Title 44, Chapter 5, Section 111

(1) "Adult" means an individual who has attained the age of 21 years.

5. (49-6-72) Title 49, Chapter 6, Section 72

(1) "Adult" means a person 18 years or older residing within the State of Georgia who is a functionally dependent older adult or who is suffering from dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease.
